Many celebrities expressed enthusiast toward Shinhwa’s concert, the singing group with the longest life on broadcast.

Matching with their debut date, Shinhwa held an exclusive concert on March 24 at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Bangi-dong, Seoul.

Many stars made appearance in the group’s concert: First, Super Junior’s Donghae posted on Twitter,

“I’m at the concert of Shinhwa hyungs. They are just awesome!!”

Another member of Super Junior, Leeteuk, also commented,

“I’m watching Shinhwa hyung’s concert~~ Fighting hyungs!!!! Must’ve been quite a lot of work! If we happen to be on broadcast together, I’ll prepare a lot of contents for you!”

irrelevant parts omitted…

Netizens who saw the posting commented: “I’ve been there too~ and it was amazing! It brings old memories back, you know?” “I saw Leeteuk and Donghae oppas there~~” “I wanna go there too~ to Shinhwa’s concert~~”

Shinhwa will give a comeback stage on a music program next week, breaking six years of hiatus.

It’s some former and current SM loving as Leeteuk has tweeted his praise for his seniors, Shinhwa.

On March 22, via his personal Twitter, Super Junior’s leader Leeteuk tweeted,

“Shinhwa hyungnim!^^ You guys are really great. We [Super Junior] will also cherish and love each other! Please be ready! Super Junior is working hard to follow after you!^^”

Shinhwa has been sharing its memories, hardships and joys from its past fourteen years as a group through television appearances and interviews lately ahead of its comeback and are largely regarded as the representative male group that has made it past the five year mark together as a group.

Netizens commented on Leeteuk’s tweet with encouragements by saying, “We hope Super Junior will also go as long as Shinhwa” “We will cheer you on!” and “Hope you will become like Shinhwa.”

Super Junior’s Leeteuk showed his respect for Shinhwa through a special message. On March 23, Leeteuk tweeted,

“Shinhwa hyungnim!^^ You guys are so awesome! We’ll do our best to love and care for each other, too! Be nervous! Super Junior is catching up to you guys!^^”

Shinhwa is the longest-running idol group in K-Pop with a 14 year history. Since their debut in 1998, Shinhwa has released countless hit singles, including “T.O.P.,” “Chaos,” “Hey,” and “Come On,” under SM Entertainment. They worked under the same label as Super Junior until 2003, when Shinhwa’s contract expired and signed with a new management agency.

Super Junior is also one of the older idol groups now, with over five years of experience together. Will Super Junior ever be able to break Shinhwa’s record?

• Why I love Super Junior? I wasn’t into K-Pop when Super Junior debuted, I started noticing them only after they released Sorry Sorry (in my opinion, THE song that shot them to superstardom and got them where they are right now). My first impression of them was “Why so many members?” and “What’s with the haircut?” While watching EHB, it was then when I realized that these boys began to grow on me. They have a nonchalant approach to fame and they don’t take themselves too seriously, that’s a quality I rarely find in other K-Pop groups. I realize in Korean entertainment world, idol images are shaped and they have to maintain that, but every so often, with SJ members, their real personalities appear in interviews, variety shows, radio broadcasts and especially Super Show. They way they interact with each other make me feel like I’m watching the boys-next-door, approachable, funny, dorky and humble. I guess that imperfection shows that they are real and relatable.

Why I love TwELFs and SPL? When I first started collecting information about Super Junior, I stumbled upon several fanbases, but TwELFs stood out to my attention immediately for several reasons: quality content, good English, pleasing to the eyes & easy to navigate.Like any other new converts, I joined in the fandom bandwagon and participated with gusto especially on Trending Topic projects. I was surprised to know that TwELFs founders were still in college, because they ran a tight ship with the blog and Twitter account. I was even more pleasantly surprised when I communicated via Twitter with the founders, because they were so friendly and unpretentious. TwELFs blog has meaty content without sacrificing entertainment value. It is informational without sounding too serious and at the same time, provides all the fun tidbits for fans –newly minted or veteran.

SPL is oozing with creativity (e.g. forum members referred to as Students and Super Junior members as Professors!) and over a short period of time has gained the reputation of being one of the most acclaimed international forums for ELFs. SPL keeps making changes for the better and continues to carry out credible projects for Super Junior and ELFs. SPL is a labor of love, and I salute the people behind it, who are such dedicated hard-workers.
