TwELFs.com needs your help. We just celebrated 3 years online and even after a long period of hiatus, we try to keep you guys updated with quality news of Super Junior but the truth of the matter is university students are less capable of working round-the-clock, so we can use all the help we can get to keep this site alive. This is not restricted to those who have been with us since Day-1 but if you ever felt like you wanted to be a part of a friendly and fun team while ‘stalking’ the boys, this is for you.

Today, June 2, 2006, marks the sixth anniversary of ELF (Ever Lasting Friends), the official fan club of Super Junior.

ELFs across the globe celebrated this momentous occasion by greeting each other and sending their love for Super Junior on Twitter. The hash tag #6YearsWithELF even became a worldwide trending topic on the said social media site.

Super Junior, who made their debut on SBS’ Inkigayo back in November 6, 2005, are now in their seventh year together and currently working on their sixth album.

Following the recently aired 25th Golden Disk Awards 2010, korean ELF came up with a thorough statement covering the matter concerning the results from all possible sources. This statement was made not to trigger more controversies but to serve as an informational piece for E.L.F. in general. Please only read this with an open mind and note that this is not supposed to be used as a source for a fanwar in any way.

TwELFs and SPL are working together with k-ELF to spread this around as much as possible. We will need your help to spread this all over the world ASAP. So please do publish them anywhere. Don’t forget to put the picture on top of the text. Picture first, then text. Thank you.

Statement from United E.L.F. Fansite (U.E.F.)

Hello, we are from United E.L.F Fansite.

As you all know, we believe that there are problems about injustice that also relates not only to fairness but money.
I know that there are rumors going on that Kelfs are going to sue Golden Disk, but it is not 100% true.
We are contacting a lawyer about law suit and getting our money back, but we are not sure that we will actually have a law suit, but more likely to send a petition to the consumer center.

This is a translation of a writing that someone posted on korean website about GDA’s unfairness.

Please spread this post around so others can know the unfairness.

Also, we also state that we have no offense at all toward Girl’s Generation (SNSD). The purpose of this writing is to just show the world that Super Junior had this much success this year, but it just didn’t show in Golden Disk Award.

This is the address of United E.L.F. Fansite.
We are currently working on translation for all the notices on the website, and have separate ways to contact with overseas E.L.F., so even if you can’t speak Korean, please join the website under the name of Super Junior.

We also have a twitter account.
You can follow us @sjwithelf1210

Please remember that we are still working on decorating and organizing the website, and we will allow people to write and communicate inside the website as soon as possible.

The website will be open in a day or two, probably tomorrow night.

If you have any questions, you can send a email to [email protected] or give us a tweet!

Thank you.

• Why I love Super Junior? I wasn’t into K-Pop when Super Junior debuted, I started noticing them only after they released Sorry Sorry (in my opinion, THE song that shot them to superstardom and got them where they are right now). My first impression of them was “Why so many members?” and “What’s with the haircut?” While watching EHB, it was then when I realized that these boys began to grow on me. They have a nonchalant approach to fame and they don’t take themselves too seriously, that’s a quality I rarely find in other K-Pop groups. I realize in Korean entertainment world, idol images are shaped and they have to maintain that, but every so often, with SJ members, their real personalities appear in interviews, variety shows, radio broadcasts and especially Super Show. They way they interact with each other make me feel like I’m watching the boys-next-door, approachable, funny, dorky and humble. I guess that imperfection shows that they are real and relatable.

Why I love TwELFs and SPL? When I first started collecting information about Super Junior, I stumbled upon several fanbases, but TwELFs stood out to my attention immediately for several reasons: quality content, good English, pleasing to the eyes & easy to navigate.Like any other new converts, I joined in the fandom bandwagon and participated with gusto especially on Trending Topic projects. I was surprised to know that TwELFs founders were still in college, because they ran a tight ship with the blog and Twitter account. I was even more pleasantly surprised when I communicated via Twitter with the founders, because they were so friendly and unpretentious. TwELFs blog has meaty content without sacrificing entertainment value. It is informational without sounding too serious and at the same time, provides all the fun tidbits for fans –newly minted or veteran.

SPL is oozing with creativity (e.g. forum members referred to as Students and Super Junior members as Professors!) and over a short period of time has gained the reputation of being one of the most acclaimed international forums for ELFs. SPL keeps making changes for the better and continues to carry out credible projects for Super Junior and ELFs. SPL is a labor of love, and I salute the people behind it, who are such dedicated hard-workers.
