Yes, after all this delay, WORDS FORMATION PROJECT FOR SS4 DAY 2 IS ON!
Words Formation Project will be happening on Day 2, 19th February. The project will take place
near the end of Destiny (yes, right at the end of the concert). TwELFs will be collaborating with Ribbon Proj (check out their project on facebook) as well as @supershow4sg for this special project!
Format
This is the formation that we will be forming. The words are in korean, and they are read as “Suju kanda”, which means “Suju’s going”. The formation will involve everyone from sections 219, 220, 222 and 223. Before the concert, our staff will be placing paper (white or red) on your seats. For those who are in the ‘red’ seats, you will find a piece of red paper with a white instruction sheet attached (show the red side). For those who are in the ‘white’ seats, you will only find a white instruction sheet—you are to use the same sheet for the project (just show the blank side). Save the Earth!
When will we start forming the words?
During Destiny, the members will spread out onto the extended stage. Near the end of the song, the members will begin walking back to the center stage to say their final thank yous (the background music being the instrumental version of Destiny). When the members are walking back, all fans in sections 219, 220, 222 and 223 are to return to their seats (yes, we know all of you will be rushing forward to be as close as possible to the members) and hold up their papers. A volunteer for each section will be holding up a piece of A3 paper to remind those fans to return to their seats and hold up their paper.
All fans involved are to hold their paper vertically and directly in front of them, so as to not block the other fans. Usually after their final thank yous, some of the members will gather together and do the “thumb kiss” to the whole stadium. Please hold up the papers until when the members leave the stage!
All fans involved are reminded to recycle the A4 paper after it has been used, or you can even keep the paper as a souvenir! Do not leave the paper at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Rehearsal
We will be having a rehearsal for the word formation right before the concert starts. A volunteer will be holding up a A3 paper with the word “WORDS” on it (tentative) and will walk at the front of the section. When you see that, please hold up your paper and remind people around you to hold up theirs as well.
How can you help
Publicity, publicity, publicity. If you know anyone who is in sections 219, 220, 222 or 223, please let them know about our project! Instructions will be attached, but it is best if they already have prior knowledge about our project.
Once again, let’s have a great concert tomorrow! Feel free to reach me at @fishyplankton for any queries.
Are all of you ready for Super Show 4 in Singapore this coming weekend? (:
For this upcoming concert on the 18th and 19th of February in the Singapore Indoor Stadium, we have specially planned a fan project — Project White Light! We are currently planning a word formation project to take place on the 19th February concert as well, but it is currently on hold as we are waiting for a reply from Running Into The Sun, the organizer for SS4SG. We’ll keep you updated!
So here are the details for Project White Light, and how you can help to make our projects a success:
PROJECT WHITE LIGHT
Project White Light has two parts, for day 1 and day 2. Day 1 will be during Lovely Day, and Day 2 will be done during Storm. For both days, the formation is the same- the entire stadium will start off dark, and gradually fill with white light.
Format
This is an example of what will happen. Of course, this is only a rough sketch, but basically the lights will start from mosh pits A and B, and move on to C/D + side terraces. From there, up to back terrace and balcony, and the whole stadium will be filled with pretty star-like white lights! Once your lights are on, leave them on until the end of the song, then you can switch back to your normal lightsticks.
What to use for lights
We’ll be using our phones for this project, so for those with smartphones, just search ‘flashlight’ in your respective download stores and tons of apps will appear! Some suggestions are iLight for iPhone, Color Flashlight for HTC and Android, and One Touch Flashlight for BB.
For those who do not have smartphones, you can bring a small flashlight/torchlight and use that. Those who attended SS2Malaysia and still have your working thumblights, bring those! Reminder not to shine those in the members’ faces, though! All torches/thumblights should be pointed upwards! The light can injure people.
For those who really have no means of bringing a white light, we’ll be around before the show with a limited supply of white thumblights! More info on where to find us comes later. ^^
When to start turning on
Before Project White Light commences, ALL LIGHTSTICKS SHOULD BE TURNED OFF. We want a completely DARK stadium!
Day 1: They start off by singing “I wanna hold your hand/I wanna kiss your lips/I wanna fall in love with you/Must be beautiful lovely… day”. The moment they sing ‘DAY’, pens A and B start the cascade.
Day 2: Once Donghae starts to sing his first line, pens A and B start turning on your white lights.
hyung i’m missing you so i should go to china. i’ll call you^^ (Jun Young^^ Kang Jun Young)

Super Junior is a South Korean boy band under SM Entertainment who has been a leading star in the Korean music scene. One year following their debut with 12 members in 2005, one additional member was introduced to complete the group and have since formed 4 sub-groups. Each of the members are known for their unique talents and charms in entertaining the audiences, be it as singer, actor, MC, radio host, rapper, comedian, songwriter, model or dancer. They are the second singing group to win "Favorite Artist of Korea" at the 2008 MTV Asia Awards.
To date, SUJU has released five studio albums, with numerous singles, digital, singles, soundtracks and live concert albums. Their third album, Sorry Sorry, released in 2009, is arguably the most critically and commercially successful album to date, selling 30,000 copies on its release day in Korea only, nabbing the #1 chart position in Korea, Taiwan, Philippines and Thailand. With only 9 active members since 2011, the group continues to receive a tremendous popularity in Europe, America and Asia, earning them the title of King of Global Korean Wave.

Why I love Super Junior? I wasn’t into K-Pop when Super Junior debuted, I started noticing them only after they released Sorry Sorry (in my opinion, THE song that shot them to superstardom and got them where they are right now). My first impression of them was “Why so many members?” and “What’s with the haircut?” While watching EHB, it was then when I realized that these boys began to grow on me. They have a nonchalant approach to fame and they don’t take themselves too seriously, that’s a quality I rarely find in other K-Pop groups. I realize in Korean entertainment world, idol images are shaped and they have to maintain that, but every so often, with SJ members, their real personalities appear in interviews, variety shows, radio broadcasts and especially Super Show. They way they interact with each other make me feel like I’m watching the boys-next-door, approachable, funny, dorky and humble. I guess that imperfection shows that they are real and relatable.
Why I love TwELFs and SPL? When I first started collecting information about Super Junior, I stumbled upon several fanbases, but TwELFs stood out to my attention immediately for several reasons: quality content, good English, pleasing to the eyes & easy to navigate.Like any other new converts, I joined in the fandom bandwagon and participated with gusto especially on Trending Topic projects. I was surprised to know that TwELFs founders were still in college, because they ran a tight ship with the blog and Twitter account. I was even more pleasantly surprised when I communicated via Twitter with the founders, because they were so friendly and unpretentious.
TwELFs blog has meaty content without sacrificing entertainment value. It is informational without sounding too serious and at the same time, provides all the fun tidbits for fans –newly minted or veteran.
SPL is oozing with creativity (e.g. forum members referred to as Students and Super Junior members as Professors!) and over a short period of time has gained the reputation of being one of the most acclaimed international forums for ELFs. SPL keeps making changes for the better and continues to carry out credible projects for Super Junior and ELFs. SPL is a labor of love, and I salute the people behind it, who are such dedicated hard-workers.
