today is August 28th, which is a special day for us and for all of you. It is our very first anniversary!! Time flies but we didn’t expect to have grown this big in a matter of months. The amount of supports received is overwhelming and for that we are more than thankful.

We know we haven’t been active the past few months because of the forum, Super Legacy, we have been working on with SJSubs to provide more for our followers. We realized we had been busy and the idea of a forum with more members helping us in updating the site was appealing. In the coming months, we hope you will still be here and support TwELFs and Super Legacy so that we can make a better community.

To celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime day, we have prepared something. The main purpose we created this account is to gather all international ELFs in the twitter universe to spread the existence of Super Junior to the whole world. However, it was originally intended for a place to have some fun with games, trending topics etc, one of which being SuJuTrivia. It was probably only the 20 of us, sharing fun trivias and letting our followers answer them for fun. Then we slowly garnered attention and more and more people showed up to join in until around 200 participants was reached. We stopped this game awhile back because it was quite exhausting for us having to list down all the participants and picked the winner but now it is the perfect moment to let our new followers aware of the game that without which, TwELFs wouldn’t have existed.

We received tons of request to hold the event earlier so that those in states or europe can participate… and we decided to grant your wishes..

We will have a 24hours long SuJu Trivia !! *cheers* now it isn’t exactly a non-stop event. Basically there will be 3-5 questions in the first 15 minutes of EACH hour starting from Saturday 6PM KST until Sunday 6PM KST. So in total there will be about 72-120 questions throughout the session.

How is exactly this game will be played?

1. First, we will tweet a question, be it W/H or True/False using the following format
#sujutrivia Q[number] [Questions]

eq. #sujutrivia Q2. Who was the first to be eliminated from the “Touch the Ball” game versus TVXQ in EHB?

2. You will then have to answer using the following format
@TwELFs #sujutrivia A[number] [Answer]

eq. @TwELFs #sujutrivia A2. Ryeowook

3. Points will be given to those with the best and fastest answer! Only the first 3 people will be awarded points. The first gets 3 points, the second one gets 2 points and the last gets 1 point. So you have to tweet your answer to us as quickly as possible.

4. Collect your points to get a chance to win the prizes we have for this event :

Dear readers,

Before we move to the winner announcements, we’d like to express our deepest apology for the delay in the progress of the contest. As you all know, we are currently preparing a forum as collaboration with SJSubs, the best subbing team for Super Junior, and it has taken all of our attention. Having said that, it is not an excuse to neglect something we had started, making you wait. In the future, we promise to provide you with better service because our readers’ satisfaction comes first as priority.

We’d also like to thank all of you who had taken the time to participate in the contest as a sign to support us as well as YesAsia & YesStyle and our generous follower, @mayblue85 for supplying the giveaway goodies. We know it was hard to spare a copy for us due to the high demand in the album at the start of the sales so we really appreciate the effort and the cooperation coming from YesAsia and YesStyle. This contest could not have happened without their supports.

There are two type of contests as part of 4jib promotion, which are “Beauty” – a graphic contest and “In My Dream” – a fanfiction contest. We received more than 50 submissions and some of them really blew us away. The preliminary process was done by the admins and we picked the best 5 from each contest for our readers to vote and whichever entry with the highest number of votes won the “favorite” category. Each entry was carefully reviewed by our staffs and then one winner from each category was selected.

• Why I love Super Junior? I wasn’t into K-Pop when Super Junior debuted, I started noticing them only after they released Sorry Sorry (in my opinion, THE song that shot them to superstardom and got them where they are right now). My first impression of them was “Why so many members?” and “What’s with the haircut?” While watching EHB, it was then when I realized that these boys began to grow on me. They have a nonchalant approach to fame and they don’t take themselves too seriously, that’s a quality I rarely find in other K-Pop groups. I realize in Korean entertainment world, idol images are shaped and they have to maintain that, but every so often, with SJ members, their real personalities appear in interviews, variety shows, radio broadcasts and especially Super Show. They way they interact with each other make me feel like I’m watching the boys-next-door, approachable, funny, dorky and humble. I guess that imperfection shows that they are real and relatable.
  
  Why I love TwELFs and SPL? When I first started collecting information about Super Junior, I stumbled upon several fanbases, but TwELFs stood out to my attention immediately for several reasons: quality content, good English, pleasing to the eyes & easy to navigate.Like any other new converts, I joined in the fandom bandwagon and participated with gusto especially on Trending Topic projects. I was surprised to know that TwELFs founders were still in college, because they ran a tight ship with the blog and Twitter account. I was even more pleasantly surprised when I communicated via Twitter with the founders, because they were so friendly and unpretentious. TwELFs blog has meaty content without sacrificing entertainment value. It is informational without sounding too serious and at the same time, provides all the fun tidbits for fans –newly minted or veteran.
  
  SPL is oozing with creativity (e.g. forum members referred to as Students and Super Junior members as Professors!) and over a short period of time has gained the reputation of being one of the most acclaimed international forums for ELFs. SPL keeps making changes for the better and continues to carry out credible projects for Super Junior and ELFs. SPL is a labor of love, and I salute the people behind it, who are such dedicated hard-workers.
