today is August 28th, which is a special day for us and for all of you. It is our very first anniversary!! Time flies but we didn’t expect to have grown this big in a matter of months. The amount of supports received is overwhelming and for that we are more than thankful.
We know we haven’t been active the past few months because of the forum, Super Legacy, we have been working on with SJSubs to provide more for our followers. We realized we had been busy and the idea of a forum with more members helping us in updating the site was appealing. In the coming months, we hope you will still be here and support TwELFs and Super Legacy so that we can make a better community.
To celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime day, we have prepared something. The main purpose we created this account is to gather all international ELFs in the twitter universe to spread the existence of Super Junior to the whole world. However, it was originally intended for a place to have some fun with games, trending topics etc, one of which being SuJuTrivia. It was probably only the 20 of us, sharing fun trivias and letting our followers answer them for fun. Then we slowly garnered attention and more and more people showed up to join in until around 200 participants was reached. We stopped this game awhile back because it was quite exhausting for us having to list down all the participants and picked the winner but now it is the perfect moment to let our new followers aware of the game that without which, TwELFs wouldn’t have existed.
We received tons of request to hold the event earlier so that those in states or europe can participate… and we decided to grant your wishes..
We will have a 24hours long SuJu Trivia !! *cheers* now it isn’t exactly a non-stop event. Basically there will be 3-5 questions in the first 15 minutes of EACH hour starting from Saturday 6PM KST until Sunday 6PM KST. So in total there will be about 72-120 questions throughout the session.
How is exactly this game will be played?
1. First, we will tweet a question, be it W/H or True/False using the following format #sujutrivia Q[number] [Questions]
eq. #sujutrivia Q2. Who was the first to be eliminated from the “Touch the Ball” game versus TVXQ in EHB?
2. You will then have to answer using the following format @TwELFs #sujutrivia A[number] [Answer]
eq. @TwELFs #sujutrivia A2. Ryeowook
3. Points will be given to those with the best and fastest answer! Only the first 3 people will be awarded points. The first gets 3 points, the second one gets 2 points and the last gets 1 point. So you have to tweet your answer to us as quickly as possible.
4. Collect your points to get a chance to win the prizes we have for this event :

Super Junior is not just a group of entertainers who exist for the sake of business. You all have gone through so much that there’s nothing that will break you apart. It is impossible to expect all 13 of you to share the same opinion or thoughts, but seeing you manage to get it all together and continue to thrive make us all proud to be fans of yours.
Some people hit rock bottom in their lives.. Some people make mistakes.. We know our magnae celebrated his 23rd birthday (korean) yesterday on february 3rd, but since I’m kyu-biased enough – just like some of you – i just want to keep wishing him a joyful and blessed happy birthday. Why I love Super Junior? I wasn’t into K-Pop when Super Junior debuted, I started noticing them only after they released Sorry Sorry (in my opinion, THE song that shot them to superstardom and got them where they are right now). My first impression of them was “Why so many members?” and “What’s with the haircut?” While watching EHB, it was then when I realized that these boys began to grow on me. They have a nonchalant approach to fame and they don’t take themselves too seriously, that’s a quality I rarely find in other K-Pop groups. I realize in Korean entertainment world, idol images are shaped and they have to maintain that, but every so often, with SJ members, their real personalities appear in interviews, variety shows, radio broadcasts and especially Super Show. They way they interact with each other make me feel like I’m watching the boys-next-door, approachable, funny, dorky and humble. I guess that imperfection shows that they are real and relatable.
Why I love TwELFs and SPL? When I first started collecting information about Super Junior, I stumbled upon several fanbases, but TwELFs stood out to my attention immediately for several reasons: quality content, good English, pleasing to the eyes & easy to navigate.Like any other new converts, I joined in the fandom bandwagon and participated with gusto especially on Trending Topic projects. I was surprised to know that TwELFs founders were still in college, because they ran a tight ship with the blog and Twitter account. I was even more pleasantly surprised when I communicated via Twitter with the founders, because they were so friendly and unpretentious.
TwELFs blog has meaty content without sacrificing entertainment value. It is informational without sounding too serious and at the same time, provides all the fun tidbits for fans –newly minted or veteran.
SPL is oozing with creativity (e.g. forum members referred to as Students and Super Junior members as Professors!) and over a short period of time has gained the reputation of being one of the most acclaimed international forums for ELFs. SPL keeps making changes for the better and continues to carry out credible projects for Super Junior and ELFs. SPL is a labor of love, and I salute the people behind it, who are such dedicated hard-workers.
