Moments

One – Two dreamers

The stars that twinkle in the dark curtains above were actually balls of gases floating around. Everyone knows that. Well, everyone but Donghae. He thinks that they are star faeries; benevolent, happy, shining creatures that symbolises their thoughts through flickers and sparks. That would probably hurt like hell. Eunhyuk has tried before to tell Donghae that they don’t exist, along with a motley crew of other things like the Yeti, Big Foot, Kappa, Mermaid and the Giant Squid. But… Well, the dude believed in aliens.

“Star faeries.”

The said man said softly as he looked outside and pressed his palm, curling fingers at the glass. The other members were quietly absorbed in their private conversations, a soft hum in their background. Eunhyuk looks over at his best friend and watches as he continues to gaze heavenward.

Sidling closer, he rests his chin on his shoulder. “They’re not real you know?” He said. Sorry, He almost adds watching fingers curl further. It was then that their little bubble of comfortable silence was broken by the soft tinkering from Donghaes’ jacket’s front pocket. The dancer watches as a slow smile spreads itself across his face, a soft chuckle tumbling forward into the air between them.

Pointing a finger at the sky, “They might not be real, Hyuk-ah. But we’ve got real star faeries, here. All over the world.” At his friend’s confused expression, he shoved his phone into unresisting hand. Shown on the screen was an update on the TwELFs’ blog about their latest photo together. Fans all over have commented about them, some even causing a tint of blush to colour his cheeks. Well, the some that he could read and understand anyways. “See? Star faeries do exist.” Donghae beamed, the passing streetlamps casting shadows of his smile.

“Yeah. Yeah they do.” He grinned back as Donghae slung an arm around him.

Two – Mindreader

Leeteuk has the patience of a minor saint. Minor, because he still glares, threatens blackmails and laces his words with subtle poison. But he loves, loves, loves his Super Junior members and no one can deny that.

A saint, though he is, he still worries almost constantly like the ahjumma downstairs about her cats. He doubts, frets, fusses over everyone like the group Umma he is, marvelling every time he sees their sea of blue and hears their voices.

Theirs.

The vastness of the blue sometimes scares him. It scares him even more now as there are three constant hollowness beside them; on stage and at home. Leeteuk fears that the gaps may cause the blue to split, cracking right down the middle. Then…?

So he quietly puts on a cracked front for their 4jib. A front with fine cracks unnoticed by untrained eyes but sometimes opened so wide that it is bared clear, painful and ugly to all who see. The 4jib. Their 4jib. They’ve come so far, for so long.

But for how long?

“Hyung, I know what you’re thinking. So stop it.” Yesung says from beside him in the cloak of darkness. “Yes, I know. You’re being all Super Umma Menopause, but stop it please. We’ll be arriving soon so please think of happy thoughts?” Leeteuk says nothing but merely stares. “And stop that hyung. It’s discerning.”

“Sorry.”

“It’s okay.”

“…..”

“What is it, hyung?”

“Super Umma Menopause?” He asks frowning at nothing in particular, almost hearing the mirth in the other man’s chuckles. “How’d you fell about…about…”

“It’s you, hyung. When you think we don’t notice you worrying. When you try covering up your worries but we see them anyway. We know hyung. So don’t think too much.” Leeteuk jumps when a small, cold hand snakes its’ way and tangles their fingers together. “We’ve got your back. Even when you think we don’t.”

Leeteuk feels a growing lump at his throat and his heart crashing wildly against his chest. Sniffing back the tears, he smiles wetly as a tissue is pressed into his hand. “Try not to make the make-up ladies kill you? And me if they find out? Someone needs to be around to protect Ryeowook from himself and feed Ddangkoma and I‘d rather it be me.”

“Have you always been this way?” A shrug from the man at his side. The leader settles himself into his seat. “Don’t tell Kangin. I’ll use my Super Umma powers on you if you do.” He says after awhile, to a quiet spasm of giggles.

“I wouldn’t risk the wrath of the Super Appa Raccoon.”

Three – The secret of a new addict

It was strangely addictive. It would, however, put a slight dent in his sizeable bank account but who was Kyuhyun kidding? Being one of Super Junior’s lead vocalists has got payoffs. He’s got enough leftover for baby diapers. But right now, it was all about the drama box sets and albums that he was purchasing online at YesAsia. Why YesAsia? Because it’s YesAsia. And because he figures international sales figures could do with a boost every once in a while.

And also because there was that one series that had had Sungmin crying and cuddling up to him like a koala bear for days after he watched the final episode. The other series that Sungmin had loved for as long as he’d known the guy and that one album that he broke that one they’d… Nevermind. Point was, purchases made on international shopping websites were purchases made on international shopping websites. They were less likely to ask questions.

“Whatcha thinking?” Sungmin asks as the van swerves into a junction. “You’re not-”

“‘Course not.” He smiles, softly. He knows how painfully insecure the other man is behind closed doors. Hugging him close, he presses a kiss to his crown.

“Yah! The coordi-noonas will kill me if you mess up my hair.” Sungmin struggles a little.

“They’d have to get through me first.” A silence dawns quickly on them. “Sungmin-ah, when we get back, I got something for you.”

“Really?” Eyes shining bright, almost too bright. Then suddenly, apprehension sets in. “You’re not-Not breaking up with me are you?” Panic.

Idiot. As if I could survive without you. He thinks, wrapping an arm around his firm waist. “No. Just something I think you’d like.” He grins.

And that was just that. When they arrive home, exhausted, tired and sore but delightfully happy and delirious many hours later, Kyuhyun had somehow managed to press a ring with ‘Kyumin’ engraved on the underside into his hand. Sungmin’s shocked expression that had quickly morphed into one of comprehension, guilt and teary happiness had him deciding that the trip to the downtown exclusive jeweller had been well worth the splash of gossip across the tabloids of him having a secret tryst. And of Sungmin’s cold shoulder the whole 3 days afterwards.

I love you, Lee Sungmin.

He somehow manages to block the happy babble out of his head and sinks into warm, dark comforting bliss. It may be wrong, but the perfect protective cocoon of their room and their band family makes everything…okay. Kyuhyun tightens his hold, counting the soft breaths that flutter onto his collarbone.

Just before he slips under, he manages to start grinning like an idiot at the thought of spoiling Sungmin for the week as penance for the whole tabloid thing. The goods from YesAsia were arriving tomorrow after all.

Fourth – Haengbok is meant for everyone

Ahh… His Nari was just too cute! Shindong chuckles as he types his reply to his dearest. He was nervous as hell about the confession in his section of the 4jib, hoping that somehow or another it won’t be like a train wreck waiting to happen. He catches Ryeowook’s soft smile as he presses ‘send’.

“Wookie-ah, why are you smiling like that?” The eternal magnae merely grins and settles back into his seat.

“Nothing. Just had a thought that Nari-sshi must be a happy woman.” His smile faltered just a little. “ I hope one day I…I can make someone as happy as that.”

The silence prevails, disturbed only by the soft giggles that come from Yesung and Leeteuk’s seats. “You will.” Shindong says before he can stop himself.

“I will, what?” Ryeowook asks, voice curious.

“One day you’ll make a girl happy. Really happy. You’d write a song for her, tell her hilarious stories of your days as a Super Junior member. You’d make her smile at everything you cook because they’re all so delicious anyways. So don’t worry Wookie-ah.” He smiles just as he receives Nari text reply. “It’ll turn out fine.”

If he’d look up from his screen then, he would’ve not had missed the longing look thrown at the seat next to their leader’s.

“Yeah, hyung. It will.”

Fifth – Longing, waiting, dying a little inside

Hankyung Kangin Kibum Hankyung Kangin Kibum

He has forgotten the days when it didn’t hurt. Forgotten the days when there was not a single inch of him that feels like dying over and over again. Oh, he knows their leader feels the same way about life these days. The only difference between them both is that Leeteuk’s mask is a little more polished and refined; practiced. His is pretty non-existent.

Siwon kept himself busy with his drama and such; everyone did their own thing to forget, to deal. But him? If it weren’t for Eunhyuk… Well, there were a lot of things that could happen when one was alone with oneself for too long.

“Hyung.” Siwon did that tentacle thing he does with his impossibly long limbs, wrapping them around him. “Hyung.” He says again. Heechul leans back and lets himself mould into the warm body behind.

He should feel lucky. He still has Siwon. Siwon who stayed behind to pick up the pieces. Siwon who held him together, piece by bleeding piece. Heechul knows he should smile and bow and be grateful, but he just can’t. Not when he sees pictures of him smiling, in L.A where they’d sworn to go together, in the Shanghai Expo where they would have had a chance to meet had there not been a sudden change of scheduling plans. Not when he still sees them in those eyes that had promised him the world and upsetting it all in the end.

He doesn’t say it, but he sees the soft cracks of Leeteuk’s mask and hears the broken beats of Donghae’s heart. The one that misses Kibum. Somehow… Somehow the 4jib, Super Junior, everything has been turned into becoming the best, Daebak, so that the naysayers can shut their cake holes.

Heechul never says of that one phone call he receives that night on the way back from Music Bank after their Comeback Stage. He’ll never breathe a word of how he’d whispered as if they were there together side by side instead of miles apart. Of how he couldn’t look the others in the eye for days afterwards, feeling like a traitor.

Hankyung Kangin Kibum Hankyung Kangin Kibum

It’s a chorus on repeat he’s heard all over Asia, wherever Super Show 2 has taken them. It’s the comments he’s read online, in forums, blogs over at TwELFs. Whatever he could make sense of anyways. But it’s all over the place. And he knows that success this time isn’t just for those missing from ranks, but also their pearl sapphire blues. They have to do this for them too.

It’s just not the same is it?

Who Would Have Thought

It’s a sunny day, a perfect day to fly kites, have picnic, or ride the bicycle around the neighborhood. For some of the Super Junior boys, it’s also a schedule-free day. Inside their dorm is a clean spacious living room with good interior design, but the most eye-catching of all is four pretty boys each at their own corner fighting their boredom.

“I’m getting bored. We’ve been playing this game for 3 hours!” Heechul complained.

“I know, this video game sucks. I want to do something fun!” Kyuhyun said, while he put the video controller down.

“AMAZING!!” Siwon suddenly exclaims. Heechul and Kyuhyun were curious and went to Siwon who was reading a newspaper on the sofa,

“Ehh?? What is? What is amazing??” Heechul asked.

“God. There’s nothing amazing than God.” Siwon said proudly.

Heechul was stunned. “What the f—“

“Why?” asked Kyuhyun to Siwon.

“Look, it says here, ‘God watches you 24/7.’” said Siwon, showing an ad to the confused boys.

Heechul was speechless.

Kyuhyun doesn’t want to listen to Siwon, so he turned to Donghae. “Uhmm… Donghae hyung! What are you listening to?”

“BONAMANA~ BONAMANA~” Donghae sang while listening to his mp3 player.

Heechul finally got back to his senses and turned to Donghae “Wow, our 4jib? Aren’t you getting sick of that?”

“What?? NO WAY!! This is the best~” Donghae replied.

“Hm, I guess you’re right.” Said Heechul followed by a smirk. “Let me listen to it, too~”

“Ehh. I won’t share my earphones with you!” said Donghae as he turns his back on Heechul.

“Tch. Whatever.”

A few minutes later, Siwon was still reading the newspaper, Kyuhyun still trying to find a way to entertain himself, and Donghae still listening to his mp3. Heechul became frustrated.

“Donghae. Donghae… DONGHAE!!” Heechul screamed, but Donghae didn’t respond.

“Hyung, he can’t hear you.” said Kyuhyun as he came out of the kitchen eating a banana.

“He can’t? HE CAN’T??” said Heechul, “Hmm. Hey, Kyu, are you bored?” He turned over to Kyuhyun.

“Kind of. Why?” said Kyuhyun as he put down his banana.

“Want to do something fun?” Heechul smirked.

While listening to his mp3, Donghae fell asleep. He woke up realizing he’s alone in their dorm.

“That’s weird. Where did everybody go? There’s no schedule for us, right?” said Donghae while doing a little yawn. He stood up from that very comfortable couch, stretched his arms and legs, and looked for the members. Little did he know, Heechul and Kyuhyun were at some place with their captive, Siwon.

“Guys, what are we doing?” asked Siwon with his arms crossed.

“SINGING! We are bored. So, we decided to go to karaoke!!” Heechul replied using the mic as he sings Kara’s Mister.

“Why did I have to go??” Siwon asked.

“Uh, isn’t that obvious? The more the merrier~” replied Heechul.

“Then why didn’t you invite Donghae?”

“Tch. That selfish, moneyless kid? NO WAY!” Heechul stopped singing.

“Moneyless?” suspects Siwon.

Heechul froze. “W-WHAT? What moneyless are you talking about?? Uhm… what I said was mo… me… men… m-many rest!! That selfish-“many rest” kid! He’s selfish and always takes many rests!! I’d rather take you my Siwonnie~” batting his eyelashes trying to act cute. ‘I think Siwon fell for it. I’m so good. Heh.’ He thought.

“Hyung, I thought we didn’t take Donghae because we—“

“LALALALALALA~ SHUT UP!!~ LALALALA~” Heechul interrupted. He finished the song and pulled Kyuhyun near him.

“Kyu, don’t tell Siwon our plan! He might go against us!” Heechul whispered to Kyuhyun.

“Oh… But, I thought he should know…” Kyuhyun said innocently.

“NO! It will be dangerous for him… FOR US!” replied Heechul as their eyes turned slowly at Siwon.

Meanwhile, Donghae didn’t find them anywhere in the dorm. He gave up. He sat down on the sofa and turned on the TV. Suddenly, his stomach started to grumble.

“AH! WHAT THE HECK!! I’M GETTING HUNGRY!” complained poor Donghae. “What do I do? I don’t know how to cook and they didn’t even leave food for me to eat? HEARTLESS PEOPLE!! Should I order food? No, no. That would cost me money.” He then looked for his Blackberry phone and dialed a number. “HYUKJAE!! Do you want to come over? …YES! I’ll wait for you~ bye!”

At the Karaoke place, Heechul and Kyuhyun went outside a bit leaving Siwon singing Super Girl.

“Alright, let’s do it!!” said Heechul excitedly.

“Now?” Kyuhyun asked.

“Yup, this would be a good timing~” replied Heechul with a big grin on his face.

“Oh, okay. Should I make the call?” said Kyuhyun revealing his cell phone.

“Nah. I’ll take care of it! You… you just join Siwon in singing.” Heechul said snatching Kyuhyun’s cell phone.

“Okay.” said Kyuhyun obediently going back to the room.

Heechul started dialing a phone number, “Hello? Ah, my friend!”

“Why is Hyukjae taking so long?” Donghae grumbled. “Wait a little longer, tummy. Hyukjae will feed us soon~”

Their doorbell suddenly rang. Donghae excitedly went to the door and opened it expecting Hyukjae at the other side. But…

“Finally!! LEE HYUK… Jae? OH! Kibum?” It was Kibum. Donghae was confused. It’s been so long since Kibum went to visit their dorm. “What brings you here?” asked Donghae.

“Eh? Didn’t you ask me to come over?” replied Kibum as he sat down on the sofa.

“Ask you to come over?”

“Yeah.” Kibum replied.

“When?” Donghae clarified.

“Oh, you didn’t? But, Heechul hyung said you were going to confess… or something..?” Kibum explained looking at Donghae’s eyes.

Donghae felt a little goosebumps and stood up “CONFESS WHAT?? AH! Kim Heechul, you’re so dead! Kibummie, I’m sorry. It was just Heechul. Sorry for bothering you.” explained Donghae.

Kibum giggled a little. “Nah. It’s okay. So, where are the others?” looking around the dorm.

Donghae sat down again. “They went out somewhere. Hyukjae would be here soon.”

“Is that so?” said Kibum. Suddenly, Donghae’s stomach grumbled. He felt awkward since it was too loud.

“Oh, you haven’t eaten, yet?” asked Kibum.

“Uh, yeah. Don’t know what to eat.” replied Donghae coolly.

“Want me to make you something?” Kibum asked.

Donghae felt a little saliva coming out. He turned away for a bit. Wiped it off and calmly turned to Kibum, “Uhm, sure. But, Hyukjae— well, if you insist…” giving a little grin.

While Kibum was preparing Donghae’s food, Donghae was in their living room watching Shining Inheritance.

“Seriously, that girl is a witch! A WITCH!” Suddenly, their doorbell rang. “Ah, what wrong timing. Wait a minute!” Donghae stood up from the sofa, and went towards the door. “Who is it?” asked Donghae. An unknown creature showed up. Its skin was green, head was bigger than its body, its eyes were yellowish, and it only had 3 fingers. Donghae couldn’t believe his eyes!

“I’ve come to abduct you.” said the mysterious creature to Donghae with a husky voice.

“Abduct… me?” Frozen as ice, he still managed to reply.

“Yes. I want you to come with me. We’ll do an experiment~”

‘Experiment?’ He thought. “WHAT?? You’re an ALIEN? OMG, THERE’S AN ALIEN!” Donghae screamed.

“Come, come with me~“ The ‘alien’ stated.

“But, Kibum’s here. I can’t leave him.” explained Donghae.

“Then… eh? You’re not alone?” The ‘alien’ seemed shocked. His husky voice turned to a normal one. At that moment, Kibum left the kitchen and went to where Donghae was. He saw the mysterious creature Donghae was talking to.

“Uh, what the— an alien, eh? Ha. Who are you?” Kibum said. He didn’t buy the ‘alien’ thing. He’s too smart for that.

“Never mind. Goodbye~” the ‘alien’ ran away embarrassed. Donghae, who was still confused, turned to Kibum, took a deep breath, and exclaimed…

“EHHHHH??”

“WHAT? Donghae’s with Kibum? So, you didn’t ‘abduct’ him? Tss. Yes. Thank you for your hard work.” Heechul felt disappointed as he hung up the phone.

“Hyung! Was Donghae scared of that ‘alien’? Was he?” Kyuhyun asked the moment he saw Heechul hung up.

“NO. Kibum’s there. Damn. Our plan didn’t work.” Heechul said frustrated.

Without them realizing, Siwon stopped singing, hearing everything they talked about. “WHAT? You were scaring Donghae?” Siwon asked, making his eyes big. “You know that guy believes in aliens so much! What will happen if he turns his back on God and praise aliens because of that?”

“Tch. That’s why we didn’t tell you…” Heechul said while doing a little sigh.

Siwon puts down the mic and called for the bill. “You guys! Let’s go back.”

“Ah. That’s right. We don’t have money… Siwonnie~” Heechul said as he approached Siwon in a cute way.

Siwon turned and looked Heechul in the eye. “I knew it. I just knew it.”

While Donghae was trying to organize his thoughts about what just happened, the doorbell rang again. He went to answer the door, but suddenly stopped. “Should I answer? But, what if it’s some alien again?” Donghae thought. He really didn’t want to see some weird creature telling him that he’s abducting him again. But, before he could turn around, the person on the other side of the door yelled.

“YAH! Donghae! Open up! It’s me, Hyukjae!” Hyukjae yelled as he presses the doorbell continuously.

Donghae felt relieved and opened the door. “LEE HYUKJAE! IT’S YOU!”

“Of course it’s me,” said Hyukjae.

“Why were you late?” Donghae asked.

“Sorry. My package from Yesasia arrived. I opened it, and almost forgot to come over. Sorry!” explained Hyukjae.

“Is that so?” said Donghae as he sits down on the sofa.

“So, what’s up?”

“Oh. I called you because I was hungry. But now, Kibum took care of it~” said Donghae displaying a satisfied look.

“Kibum? Our Kim Kibum? He’s here?” Hyukjae asked as he made his eyes big.

The front door of their dorm opened. The three boys just came back from their fun karaoke session.

As soon as Heechul arrived, he exclaimed. “Ah, really! Yah, Donghae!”

Donghae got up from his comfortable position and went to welcome his members. “Hyung! Where did you go?” He asked.

“What were you doing with Kibum? Tss. Useless.” Heechul continued to go to their living room.

“What?” asked Donghae.

“Did you see an alien? Did you?” Kyuhyun asked as he finished putting on his indoor slippers.

“Yeah… but it was fake.” Donghae replied.

“Damn it. Our prank didn’t work hyung!” Kyuhyun said to Heechul.

Donghae immediately went in front of them. “Prank?? You guys!!” he exclaimed.

“WAIT! Kibum’s here??” Hyukjae interrupted. “YAH! Lee Donghae, Kibum’s here?”

“Yes, he cooked me food~” Donghae answered still glaring at Heechul and Kyuhyun.

“But, he’s in America right now. That’s impossible,” said Hyukjae with his face confused.

Donghae, who couldn’t believe what he heard, turned around and faced Hyukjae. “What? No, that’s impossible. KIBUMMIE~” He called.

“…”

“Kibum? KI~BUM?” He called, but still no answer. He rushed towards the kitchen followed by the rest and found a note lying on the dining table.

“Dear Donghae,

I’m sorry for disappearing without saying goodbye. Please take care of yourself. Always believe in me and not in any more creatures. I’m always watching you 24/7. I love you, my son!

Sincerely,

God”

And then, there was silence.

“…Daebak” exclaimed Donghae, Hyukjae, Siwon and Kyuhyun.

“No… AMAZING!” Heechul corrected.

Days after, leader Leeteuk opened his laptop and went to Twitter. To his surprise, he found this odd news.

“[NEWS] Super Junior Donghae claimed he saw God and goes to Church with whom?”

“Super Junior’s Lee Donghae tweeted to Twelfs about experiencing God through the image of Kibum,

“God… went inside our dorm as Kibum! My dear @Twelfs, always believe in God!!^^”

As of today, we see Donghae tweeting more about praising God. He’s been going to church hearing masses and goes to special sessions with his member Kim Heechul. Siwon proudly tweeted that Heechul read one passage from the Bible. I guess we are having three religious Super Juniors in our hearts, Choi Siwon, Lee Donghae, and, who would’ve thought, Kim Heechul.”

Just Another Day

He comes from the sea and walks on land. He destroys all that he sees and goes to the town crashing down all the building and shattering the streets. Godzilla! RAWR!~

“Okay who drank the last strawberry milk?”

“What are you talking about? I bought some just-“Eunhyuk stood stunned

Super junior was tired. They just finished a photo shoot for 4jib. Eeteuk came holding his phone.

“Hey guys Twelfs just updated!”

“Really Hyung? What does it say?” asked Kyuhyun

Behind them Godzilla was screaming his lungs off in pleasure of distruction.

“Yeah they were updating about the preorder on YesAsia.com, over 100000 copies!”

Donghae and Eunhyuk still stand mouth open at the ajar refrigerator.

Eetuek turns in confusion to look the awestruck pair.

“What? What happened?” He asked confused

Donghae and Eunhyuk charge at their leader shouting

“You drank the strawberry milk!”

While the trio aggressively fought each other Kyuhyun stood in awe of his hyungs immaturity, all the while not realizing Kangin sneak attack. It was already too late; Kyuhyun had been swiftly depanted by the raccoon prankster himself, Kangin!

“Pants on the ground!!!” screamed the trio who had finally stopped their bickering.

Unknown to the outside world Super Junior was not only a daebak group, behind closed doors they were super heros!! Kangins super speed helps him depant enemies in a single swipe. Eunhyuks super power allows him to throw explosive jewels with stealth. Donghae being the fish he is, is the waterman of the 13. While their leader Eetueks specialty is wind. Although Kyuhyun got taken surprise his radioactivity keeps him protected from all attacks.

Suddenly Sungmin, Yesung, and Shindong walk in from hearing chaotic fighting.

“Whats going on, why are you all fighting?!” screams Sungmin.

“Eetuek drank the all the Strawberry milk!!” screamed Eunhyuk and Donghae.

Enraged the newly entered trio powered up. Sungmin whipped out his deathly cherry blossoms for battle. Yesung started his vocal warm ups that made the ground shake. While Shindong picked up the couch ready to fire.

Seeing his members ready to attack, Eeteuk powered up with his Teukie Teukie Tornado. Sungmin threw his razor sharp blossoms, while Shindong threw the couch and other furniture. They were no match for their leader’s incredible defense. While Kyuhyun walked helplessly around the apartment, Kangin mysteriously disappeared.

Seeing the attack on their leader Donghae and Eunhyuk joined in the fight to avenge their precious strawberry milk. Eunhyuk powered up with his endless supply of jewels and hurled them at Eeteuk. While Donghae gathered water to attack the leader with his East Sea Blast. The amazing Teukie deflected all attacks as a true leader of the 13 Super Heroes.

With the 5 super heroes stunned, Eetuek finally was able to speak his mind.

“Look I didn’t drink the strawberry milk, Im on a diet, only eating protein and water to build more muscles!”

Suddenly a bedroom door opened, the 8 members held their breath as Siwon walked in. Shocked at the audacity of their younger member walking in with a pink mustache into the room, Siwon looked on with curiosity.

“What’s going on why are fighting and why is the living room a mess?” He asked

“YOU DRANK THE STRAWBERRY MILK!!” screamed Donghae

“ Um, no! this is a protein shake.” Replied Siwon

“The one you got from the health store?” asked Eunhyuk disgusted

“Yup” Siwon replied.

“Hey, can I have some?” asked Eetuek

“Psh, No” said Siwon.

Suddenly HangKyung with his stealthy ninja dance, comes out of the shadows and steals Siwons protein shake. Siwon quickly threw a mini grenade to distract Hangkyung while he battle readied with his knightly sword. While HangKyung seeing the impending attack revealed his battle staff, and the dual began. The other members always in a mood for a good duel stood watching.

“My moneys on Siwon” said Hyuk

“No way, Hangkyungs got this in the bag” replied Donghae.

All the while, in walked Heechul casually late. Looking around he sees Hangkyung and Siwon dueling. He takes a moment and thinks.

“Hangkyung is in distress, I must save him!” Then whips out a mirror to fix his hair

Heechul gracefully walks over to the brawling couple. With one charismatic look, a laser beam. Shiwon’s sword is completely melted.

Kibum walks in with his delightful smile and speaks,

“Let there be peace! We can all figure this out!” Being the Angelic being he was tried to stop the fight.

Then the present group starts again in another tumult and tirade. Then out of nowhere. Literally out of nowhere, Ryeo wook walks in with the empty strawberry milk carton in his hand, unaware of the true reason of this brawl. Everyone stood silent in shock. They looked down in disappointment and suddenly heard Kangin chuckling.

“Pants on the ground!” laughed Ryeowook.

The group didn’t find it as funny, and started toward their younger member. Seeing the upset hyungs coming at him Ryeowook saw the sparkling of Eunhyuks sonic trigger activated explosive jewels. Ryeowook quickly powered up and sang the distinct note to activate the powerful jewels.Boom!

“It’s just strawberry milk, there’s more milk in the other dorm!” Ryeowook said as he stormed out.

As the room fell silent from the defeated hyungs Kyuhyun at the window saw Donghae’s pet got loose again.

“Donghae hyung Godzilla got out again!”

Donghae walked to the window, stuck his head out and yelled.

“ Godzilla, go back home and get in your room!!”

The 13 then got ready for their next activity, and that was the story of the Secret Super Heroes.

[In Heechul's room]
Heechul is in his room alone playing with his cat, HanJHeebum.
Heechul hugging Heebum while thinking of Hangeng and suddenly the phone rang.
Heechul picks it up and he said “Hello” and a familiar voice answered.
Hangeng: Yeobo!
Heechul: Ahh atlast my husband from China decided to call! (sarcastically)
Hangeng: Ahh Hee! *sobs*I miss you so much! Sorry I can’t call you before you changed number?
Heechul: I miss you too! Ahh yes. I just bought an Iphone!
Hangeng: I thought you don’t like touchscreen?
Heechul: I am smart thats why I use a smartphone. Actually Iphone isn’t so bad. I tweet and can communicate with twelfs easier.
Hangeng: Ohh you change your mind so quickily. Have you forgot about me yet?
Heechul: *Sobs* Don’t say that. I think about you everyday it breaks my heart everytime. I miss you, geng.
Hangeng: Me too. I miss you Hee. I never miss a single 4jib activities, I’ve been stalking you guys. I miss all you guys so much. Where is Teuk hyung and other dongsaengs?

[Meanwhile at the Leeteuk's room]
Donghae came into the room listening to Beast and singing “Everyday I special~ special”
Leeteuk: I am special.
Donghae: Ohh you are special?
Leeteuk: Yes, my name is Special.
Shindong: Then you can sing Everyday I leeteuk, leeteuk~

Suddenly Kyuhyun shouts “YEAH!” from his room.

Yesung: Omo! It give me a shock!
Ryeowook: Everyday I shock~ shock! (singing Beast song again)
Shindong: Haish Kyuhyun ah..I thought he’s cooking in the kitchen?
Eunhyuk: I guess you can tell he’s obviously playing his computer game again.
Ryeowook: Bonamana bonamana bonamana keompyuteoleul jaesaeng jaesaeng jaesaeng~ (Obviously obviously obviously playing his computer)
Yesung: Ryeowook, my ears are hurting hearing you sing wookie.
Ryeowook: Sorry sorry sorry sorry naega naega naega going to cook dinner today! You can all expect a nice feast. Cooking cooking~
*off to the kitchen*
Leeteuk: Ahh Ryeowook is so kind.
Shindong: Yah, I’m getting hungry.
Yesung: I’m so bored.
Sungmin: *strumming his guitar*

Heechul came into the room: Hey guys! Guess what?
Everybody: What?!
Heechul: Hangeng on the phone!
All of their faces shots up!
Leeteuk quickily grab the phone: Hangeng ah! I love you. How are you in China?
Sungmin grabbing the phone from Leeteuk: hyung! I miss you!
Eunhyuk tearing up a bit: Hangeng when you coming back? Super Junior is incomplete without you.
Kyuhyun then came in: Hangeng, wo ai ni! I want to be number thirteen without you I can’t be the thirteenth member. Maybe I’m selfish, I miss you so much!
Ryeowook came in crying snatch the phone from Kyuhyun: Hangeng hyung! You haven’t forgotten me right? I am still you favourite dongsaeng right?
Shindong: Ahh Hankyung! You must come to my wedding this coming October!
Yesung: Is he answering?
Hangeng: *sobbing hard* neh!
Heechul hugging Eunhyuk for comfort.
Hangeng: I will come to your wedding and bring goodies from China
Shindong: Ahh hyung, you are so kind.
Yesung took the phone from Shindong: Hyung! Did you bought our 4th album?
Hangeng: Yes, I just receive my album that I’ve ordered from yesasia.
Yesung: Wow that was fast! We could have given it to you, and we can also sign it for you.
Hangeng: I don’t want to trouble you guys.
Yesung: No hyung, for you we can do anything.

Siwon just got back from Starbucks and feeling confused why is everybody so emotional. His eyes got big and asked Sungmin what happened? Sungmin said Hangeng was on the phone. Siwon’s eyes got bigger. Snatch the phone from Shindong.
Siwon: Hyung, how you doing in China? I will be praying for you.
Hangeng: Siwon ah, I miss you guys so much. I’m doing great. I have to go, bye. Send regards to all the SMtown family, I still haven’t forget them. Bye~
Donghae crying silently at the side while Eunhyuk comforting him. Leeteuk was bawling his eyes out that his members have time for each other. Ryeowook took the time out on the kitchen, Kyuhyun paused his game, Sungmin put down his guitar, Siwon put aside his bible, Donghae took out his headphones, Shindong put down his iphone, Eunhyuk and Yesung from their own distractions.
Everybody cried hard that night and reminisce the time with Hangeng. How they wish he come back.

Ryeowook went to the kitchen to continue preparing dishes. Sungmin decided to help him out. As they both preparing wonderful dishes, Kyuhyun, Donghae and Eunhyuk prepare the table for them to have dinner together.

Entry #5

ONE

It was the first time Super Junior had their meal together ever since various rumors about them had spread like a wildfire. Nine faces showed no sign of joy despite the scrumptious meal prepared for them.

It was only Shindong who didn’t seem to care about anything. He was taking ever bite his food joyfully as if it was the most delicious food on earth.

“Hyung,” Donghae broke the silence, putting his chopsticks down.

“What?” Shindong replied.

“Don’t you feel—”

Donghae wasn’t able to finish his sentence. Shindong, now looking different from the happy boy eating awhile ago, slapped his chopsticks on the table. He didn’t look angry, but they still kept quiet, afraid that it will just start a fight.

“Can’t we enjoy at least for tonight? We know that those rumors aren’t true.” Shindong said. “Hankyung will not leave us.”

“But he hasn’t called us.” Eunhyuk muttered.

“It’s been a year” Heechul sighed.

The boys were quiet. Shindong didn’t even answer for he knows what they said were all true.

“I’m afraid this will be our last album.” Sungmin said. “I don’t want to say this either but it’s what everyone around us believes.”

“Kangin is going to the military. He will be gone for two years. “ Yesung added.

“And Kibum, we can’t blame him. He’s happy with what’s he doing.” Siwon said

“And don’t forget that Leeteuk and Heechul will soon serve the army.” Ryeowook said.

“Aish!” Leeteuk interrupted. “Stop it! Super Junior is Super Junior, no matter what they believe or not, right? Even if I or any of you leaves, we will definitely come back because Super Junior is like…family”

“And who leaves will comeback just like the prodigal son in the bible.” Siwon smiled, hoping it will help uplift the group’s mood.

And luckily, it did. They were all laughing.

“Bible man!” Shindong teased.

The phone rang.

“Yoboseo?” Ryeowook answered the phone.

“Who is it?” Eunhyuk asked

“IT’S HANKYUNG HYUNG!!!!” Ryeowook said, jumping in joy. “He called!”

“Hankyung?” Heechul mumbled, stunned.

“Hyung!! Wake up! We’re here!”

Heechul can hardly know who woke him up. He was too tired to notice. But one thing was clear to him, everything was only a dream.

It was only five in the morning. The manager told them they will have an urgent practice for their comeback performance on Music Bank next week.

“Are there any calls for me?” Heechul asked, making sure it was really just a dream.

“None.” Heechul noticed it was Sungmin who was with him. “Just from our manager awhile ago, and I don’t think that’s the call you’re waiting for.”

The practice went well. Despite the tiresome schedule they had, they still managed to practice at an early time and even joke around.

“Heechul!” Donghae shouted “Watch doing bro?”

“Twitter?!” Shindong joked.

“Aniyo!” Heechul lied.

“May I see?” Donghae teased, grabbing Heechul’s iPhone.

“Twelfs?” Donghae asked. “What is this?”

“I found while reading my mentions. I guess it’s an account for ELFs on Twitter.” Heechul replied.

“What is Twitter?” Eunhyuk said.

“It’s a site where you can post updates and even talk with other people.” Sungmin explained.

“Like cyworld?” Eunhyuk asked.

“It’s better than you think!” Dongahe said. “So you better make one!”

Meanwhile, a tall pretty girl entered the studio. The boys didn’t know who she was.

“May I talk to Mr. Park Jung Soo?” the girl said, looking around.

Kyuhyun, who was the nearest to the girl, jerked his chin toward Leeteuk’s direction.

“May I have a private talk with you for a while?” she asked Leeteuk.

TWO

“I am Seungrin, Hankyung’s close friend and manger.” She smiled. “Nice to meet you.”

“Annyeonghaseyo!” Leeteuk greeted. “Don’t tell me he’s getting married!”

“Of course not.” Seungrin laughed. “I came here to tell you how he is.”

The place is obviously a high class one, Leeteuk observed. He suddenly felt awkward for he is only wearing rubber shoes, jogging pants and a sweaty shirt.

“I feel embarrassed. The bartender even looks better that I.” Leeteuk joked as he saw the bartenders wearing a coat and tie.

“You look incredibly fine!” She smiled. “And if you’re worried about you idol image, don’t worry. This bar is already closed for the two of us.”

“Closed?”

“I am just being careful. I don’t like other people to know what we are going to talk about.”

“Is it serious? Did something bad happen to Hankyung?” Leeteuk asked worriedly.

“No. He’s doing great. He has an upcoming album in China. I also received a lot of calls offering him some endorsements.”

Leeteuk suddenly felt a big pain in his heart. Not that he’s not happy about his friend’s success, he was just afraid that Hankyung had forgotten about them.

“But he said he wanted to be with Super Junior more than anything else.” She continued.

“We also wish the same.” Leeteuk said.” But—“

“It’s not as easy as that?” she interrupted. “I saw how badly he wanted to see all of you. But he told me that he is not gonna risk anything for his own benefit. He didn’t want Super Junior to get involved with his issues.”

“We already are involved because we do care about him.”

Leeteuk wished the others came with him. He knew they have a lot of questions to ask about Hankyung. They won’t have to rely on newspaper articles that they don’t even know if it’s true or not.

“I understand.” She replied. “That’s why I made an arrangement for you.”

THREE

“Look here!”Ryewook said. It says 4JIB sold over 100,000 copies in just eight days!”

“Woah!” Kyuhyun jumped.

“Ya! Kyuhyun-ah!” Sungmin laughed. Kyu wasn’t paying attention to them. Kyu was actually hyped up playing with his PSP.

“Did you hear what Ryeowook said?” Yesung chimed in. “Our album sold over 100,000 copies!!!”

“Mwoh?!” Kyuhyun said, snapping back to reality.

“Woah! It’s true! They even said we’re album kings!!” Kyuhyun exclaimed as he read the article from Ryeowook’s laptop.

“And I heard before that our 4jib sells the most in online stores like Yesasia!”

“Ok! Stop the noise! Even if you sold a million albums, you still need to practice for your live performance.” The manger reminded them. “They are surely expecting a very good performance.”

“And before I forget, I’m very happy to tell you that Kibum will be doing a collaboration project with you. You were chosen to sing the OST for his hit drama. So most probably, you’ll get a chance to work together again!!” The manger continued.

“Chincha?!” Donghae exclaimed. “That’s great!”

Time flew by so fast. It was already their comeback performance on Music Bank. Super Junior stayed in the waiting room.

Each of them tried to entertain themselves to release their tension. Some took pictures while some chose to quietly sit down on the couch and chat.

Suddenly, there was a loud knock on the door. Kyuhyun opened the door.

“Hyung?!”

And to everybody’s surprise, they saw Kibum standing outside, holding a banner saying, “SUPER JUNIOR HWAITING!”

They were all very happy to see him. They felt better now that a very important friend of theirs is going to support and watch them perform.

“I’ll go out to breathe some fresh air.” Heechul stood up. He didn’t want to leave like this especially that Kibum is already here. But it only reminds him more about Hankyung.

He wants him to come back.

He sat down on a chair outside and closed his eyes. He felt nervous, the same feeling he felt during their debut performance. He didn’t know why he felt that way.

“Stop worrying, Heechul.” He told himself.

“Talking to yourself?” A strange voice said. “Crazy.”

It was a very familiar voice.

Am I dreaming? Heechul thought.

“Ya!” The voice shouted. “Don’t tell me you slept that fast?! Open your eyes!”

Heechul felt someone push him.

It’s not a dream. He told himself.

He immediately opened his eyes, stood up, and prepared to strike back whoever pushed him. What right does he have to push him while he’s resting peacefully?

He turned around and saw…

Hankyung.

Everything was gone—- the tension he felt, the annoyance, and most of all, the emptiness. Heechul didn’t say a word. He pulled him and hugged him tightly.

“Heechul,” Hankyung whispered “Mianhae—“

“And the winner is—–“ the MC announced.

“2PM!”

“Ya! It’s okay!” Hankyung said as Super Junior went backstage. “Don’t you know how awesome you were on stage?”

“Yeah!” Kibum encouraged too. “You should’ve seen the audience while you were performing!”

“It’s ok!” Leeteuk smiled. “Just having you both here is more than any award. I really thank Seungrin for brining you here, Hankyung. I didn’t know this is the arrangement she’s talking about!”

“I didn’t know either. I was surprised she brought me to Korea. She told me it was only for a CF. I didn’t know she’ll make us meet.”

“If Kangin-ah was also here with you, we must’ve won.” Kyuhyun joked. “That Kangin~!”

“Stop that!” The manger laughed. “By the way, you have a fan meeting tomorrow. Prepare something good for your fans, okay?”

“Why don’t we discuss about it in our dorm?”Sungmin suggested.

“I’ll cook for you!” Ryeowook and Hankyung both said at once, bursting everyone in laughter.

FOUR

“And here they are…Super Junior!”

There was a loud cheer from the audience in the fan meeting. All of them started to raise their banners and light sticks to show their support.

Super Junior performed their hit songs. Everyone was overjoyed, some even crying in joy.

“BONAMANA!!” Leeteuk exclaimed.

Everyone was hyped up. It was now their last song, Bonamana. The audience started to sing with them.

When suddenly, the music stopped and the lights went off. No one can see a thing. Some screamed, afraid. No one knew what really happened.

“URINEUN~”

The lights started to go back. And when it reached the stage…

“~SUPER JUNIOR E-YO!!”

ELFs screamed more. Most of them cried, overwhelmed. Some cannot believe what they’re seeing.

Twelve men stood on stage. Hankyung and Kibum was in the middle, smiling.

“ELF, this is our surprise for you!” Leeteuk shouted.

“Do you like it!?” Shindong exclaimed.

“NE!!!”

“To tell you the truth, we can’t contact Kangin. We feel sad about this.” Eunhyuk explained.

“ANIYO~!” ELF replied.

“ELF~” A loud scream from the audience said.

“SURPRISE!!!!” ELF all at once said, turning around to welcome their special guest.

Super Junior, confused with what’s happening, looked at the front door, where all the ELFs are looking at.

Slowly, the door opened.

It was Kangin.

There was even louder cheers from the audience. Super Junior, who can’t believe what’s happening, couldn’t help but cry too.

“ELFs asked me to do a favor. So blame them for this.” Kangin joked, as he went up the stage. “That’s why I wasn’t able to come yesterday. But I watched you perform from a far. You just didn’t see me.”

As he reached Super Junior on stage, Donghae whispered something to Kangin.

“Don’t worry, I memorized the steps even before they did!” Kangin loudly replied.

The lights went off once again.

And when it turned on, thirteen men danced Bonamana on stage.

Neither ELF not Super Junior can describe the way they felt at that time. No words can describe the extreme joy they felt.

“ELF, “Leeteuk began as the performance ended.

“Kamsahamnida!!” All of them said, crying in joy.

“Even if we lost yesterday, or even lose any award in the future,” Kyuhyun said. “This is still the best award we received ever since.”

“This is the most unforgettable memory that Super Junior will have.” Yesung said.

“And this proves why 4JIB is DAEBAK!!!” Hankyung exclaimed.

“DAEBAK!!!” ELF and Super Junior all screamed at once.

It’s not about the gorgeous outfits, the fame, or any award that they will receive. It’s because ELF and Super Junior have each other, facing anything as one, as everlasting friends.

And that’s why they’re DAEBAK.
